This was by far my favorite collection from the Legends of the Guard series.

I really enjoyed all of the Legends of the Guard series. It's cool to see all of the different creator's takes on the world of the Mouse Guard. The variety and quality of the stories really show this is world has lot more to explore. Beyond good. Mouse Guard 1 and 2 set the bar pretty high, and this Canterbury Tales-esque set up, with multiple artists, takes it in an entirely new direction. Absolutely incredible!

This is the third book in which Petersen selects various artists to create stories based in the Mouse Guard world and incorporates them into an evening of storytelling at the inn. The styles vary from story to story, and I find that the ones I like best are the ones most close to Petersen's own style.

Yet another WONDERFUL entry into the world of Mouse Guard. This is a great collaborative efforts of artists and story tellers paying tribute to David Peterson mouse world. I really love the art and the stories.

The third volume in the Mouse Guard anthology spin-off is just as delightful as the first two. No prior knowledge of Petersen's main history is necessary to enjoy this selection of tales, most of which are no more than a few pages long. But readers of previous volumes will enjoy seeing the brave micemen and women of the narrative rendered in vastly different styles. As always with this series, the art is a bit of a mixed bag, but I think the good outweighs the bad. And the stories go by so quickly it is hard to find fault in them. I still wish there was more work on a continuation of the main Mouse Guard series, since I just love David Petersen's art so much. I always love the Mouse Guard books just because the illustrations are so fantastic. In this book it's time for the Winter Solstice storytelling contest to see who's bar tab at the June Alley Inn will be wiped clean with the best story. Each character's story is created and illustrated by a different author/illustrator with David Petersen's Mouse Guard illustrations tying everything together. Another installment of the guest anthology, this volume continues the format of a variety of mice telling stories in the hopes of settling their debts at the tavern they frequent. A series of short tales; I found the shortest ones to be the most meaningful! The art and stories vary wildly, from comedic to tragic. A very enjoyable read, and not a bad place to start for those unfamiliar with the series.

Public library copy. While I enjoyed the stories contained herein, I didn't think the sum of all the parts was as good as the regular series by David Petersen. The story done by the animator was visually amazing.

This was a very nice little book. It is a collection of short stories from several different authors. Unlike other composition books (such as Flight), there is an overall story which wonderfully ties all the short ones together giving it a nice flow.

Another good Mouse Guard just right for winter reading.
