I found this book to be so boring. I remember looking at the bottom of my kindle and I was only at the 40% mark thinking - omg I'm not even halfway done. I always lean towards hockey books and this being a new series and a new to me author, I wanted to try it. This is my first book by Stina Lindenblatt but it won’t be my last. Sofia and Kyle’s journey was full of trials and tribulations but through it all I thoroughly enjoyed their journey. Full of fun highs and dramatic lows Sofia and Kyle had a long road to a HEA and I really enjoyed reading it all.The best part of this book was that the author placed it in Finland which it is clear from her writing is somewhere near and dear to her heart. Loved this great New Adult romance story! The characters, Sofia and Kyle, are both dealing with loss and heartache. They are both trying to move on and looking for a fresh start and new direction in their lives. Can two people who have sworn off love manage to overcome their barriers and let each other in? I loved learning about Finland. I enjoy traveling and hockey. This author had such wonderful characters with a story based on two young Americans who find each other in a hilarious way. They do a lot of Finnish sightseeing and meet and make Finnish friends. They are growing as well with some difficulties along the way with a twist of fate some of you (but not me) will see coming. A nice read!!!

2.5 StarsI thought this was going to be more of a sports romance then what it was. The story moved very slow and was somewhat uninteresting. I struggled with just putting it down multiple times. Full review to come

I think this is my first New Adult book??? I don't even know. What technically is the distinction between contemporary and new adult? Both finding themselves in Finland because of complications in their pasts, Kyle and Sofia sure heat it up, but problems worm their way into their relationship. The beginning was engaging and pulled me in, and the book had an overall amazing flow. Also, I can't recall reading any other book with this setting. I look forward to reading more from Lindenblatt.
